I need help! I'm 18 and weigh 163 pounds.. im only 5'4". i love working out but i've been really busy with school and work, and when I do have the time im just not motivated. any advice?

you need to either set a specific time each day or every second day when you will work out, it will start to become routine. if you’re too busy with school and work, what i try to do is wake up early in the mornings and go for a run in the park or whatever. even around the block or something, it’s better than nothing. i know it’s hard waking up in the morning, the only tip i really have for that is once your alarm goes off get up quickly and go - slap your cheeks a bit…that helps haha but moving quickly in the morning will wake you up better and the tired feeling goes away faster. after your run or power walk you’ll feel great. you need to make time to exercise, not find time…rules to live by, they help me a lot. :) x

Stomach toning exercises

Hello! You're really an inspiration. I have a question, however: Over the summer, I was in a pretty bad car accident, I broke several bones, leaving me unable to walk for a few months, throughout that time, I gained at least 30-40 pounds, and am totally uncomfortable with my body. What are some simple workouts I could do (without re-injuring myself)? I now weigh about 180 pounds.

can you go for long walks? because if you can, you could start going for long walks every day which will help keep your cardio up then do some thigh, stomach and arm toning exercises. start with some press up, do as many as you can but each day or each couple of days push to do one extra than you’ve been doing. i’ve posted some thigh toning and stomach toning exercises. but crunches will be good. i’m not too sure what exercises i can give you because i’m not sure if you’re capable or not, are you still in pain? or are there restrictions you have so you’re not allowed to do various things?

what is your best pre workout snack? sometimes during my workouts (the really tough ones) I will get really bad headaches and that empty feeling, even if i drink tons of water. I know I need carbs it's just I don't know which to chose that won't make me gain :/

sometimes i eat rice crackers or make a small smoothie, it fills you up enough but isn’t too much to give you the stitch. i hope that helps. if not, before you go running try taking some aspirin or something that could help also. 

I really appreciate your words, and that you aren't a self deprecating person. I think the best reason to lose weight is because you love your body and you want the best from it, not because you hate it and want to hurt it.

Exactly, that’s the way you have to think in order for anything to happen:) you have a good mind set, which is really good, it helps a lot:) 

you reallly inspire me. i had been battling with anorexia in the summer until last month, and this blog really pushed me to think whats healthier for me. im exercising more now than starving myself, and im a lot happier <3 thank you.

I’m so happy for you, I know how much of a struggle it is and how hard it can be. I’m pleased that my blog is helping because it’s people like you that I’m aiming to help. I’ve been down that road and I know what it’s like and how hard it is. Well done that you decided to make a change.
